Modernization of a material cutting machine based on Hauser Lineareinheit HLE 150 for the FEY company from Topola near Chojnice
For the FEY company from Topola near Chojnice, specializing in the production of mattresses, we carried out a comprehensive renovation and modernization of the machine for cutting material used in the production process.
It all started with a detailed technical audit, which showed that despite many years of use, the mechanical part of the device was in very good condition. The problems concerned primarily the drive system and the control system, which were damaged and required complete replacement. Additionally, it turned out that the machine did not meet the current requirements for machine safety, which prevented its further operation in accordance with the applicable standards.
The scope of our work included:
- modernization of the control system – we designed and implemented a modern control system based on reliable industrial automation components;
- drive replacement – we used a new engine and drive system, adapted to the specific operation of the machine;
- installation of safety curtains and protective fences that ensure the safety of operators in accordance with PN-EN standards and CE marking requirements;
- development of detailed job instructions, taking into account occupational health and safety procedures and principles of correct operation;
- preparation of full technical and safety documentation required to meet EU CE standards;
- programming a new operator interface – the machine has been equipped with a modern operator panel, which not only increases the ergonomics of work, but also enables easy operation and diagnosis of possible faults.
Thanks to the work carried out, FEY has gained a fully functional, safe and modern device that supports the daily production of mattresses. Our modernization has not only allowed the machine to be put back into use, but also significantly increased its functionality and comfort of use.
